Overnight Oats Done Right!

Oats are my go to morning breakfast food. They keep me full and they’re so versatile, it’s impossible to get bored. Overnight oats are even better, especially for people ‘on the go’ in the mornings.

Creating your base:

Step 1: Choose your liquid: water, dairy, almond & soymilk are all common choices.

Pour your oats and liquid (I prefer unsweetened vanilla almond milk) into an 8-ounce mason jar (or whatever container with a lid you have on hand). The typical ratio is 1:1, ½ cup rolled or quick oats to ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milks.

Rolled oats need to be kept overnight although quick oats only need 30 minutes (but you can still do overnight).

Step 2: Add in all the fixin’s

This is your chance to get creative. There are a ton of different variations you can go with to add some serious flavor. Ideas for flavor combinations are below! Don’t forget to stir well!

Step 3: Cover the jar or container, pop it in the fridge and let it sit over night.

Step 4: Add extra fruit in the morning or just grab and go!
