time is at 10 am (registration opens at 9 am). Meet at the Christiana
Towers Commons located on New London Road at Christiana Drive. Fees for
the race are $14 until March 14th, 18 thereafter. The race will
benefit the organization Share Our Strength-No Kid Hungry. The cource
is an out and back along Creek Road in Newark. Starting at Christiana
Towers. Wheel measured by Doug White. Tee shirts and post race
refreshments will be provided. Awards will be given to the overall male
and female plus top 3 in ten year age groups 13 under through 70+ Top 3
male and female walkers.

Introduction to Surf Fishing, Rehoboth Beach, DE, 12-3pm
In
response to popular demand, we are extending the beginners class on one
of the most popular pastimes on our coast. Beginners will get a
foundation in this relaxing sport, and those who want to dust off their
old equipment will get a refresher. This program will cover tackle and
baits to use, current rules and regulations, fish identification and an
opportunity to catch (and release) a big one! Participants must be at
least 10 years old and those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent
or guardian. The cost for this class includes the use of spinning rod
and reel combos, tackle and bait. Participants will also receive a
comprehensive handout of the topics covered to keep in their tackle
box! This class will meet at the Indian River Life-Saving Station
(25039 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971). Size is limited;

Scout Day at White Clay, Newark, DE, 10am-2pm An
Event for Boy and Girl Scouts! Spend the day out along the creek during
this program designed for scouts and their families! We will have
hikes, games, crafts, and nature lessons all geared toward scout
requirements. Meet at White Clay Creek State Park in Newark
Delaware (750 Thompson Station Rd Newark, DE 19711). This is an outdoor
event, so dress for the weather. $8 per scout.

Brave the Race, Atglen, PA, 8:15am
Sign
up for either the 10K or the 5K race! T-shirts are guaranteed to all
preregistered runners. Race timing and prompt race results by Chester
County Running Store. Cash prizes awarded to the overall male and
female winner of each race. Prizes will be awarded to the top three
male and female winners in each age category. There will be food and an
award ceremony after the race. All money collected will go towards

is a “road” triathlon consisting of a 5K run, 13.2 mile bike, and
finishing with another 5K run. This is a Greater Atlantic Multisport
Series event that is one of the most beautiful duathlons around!! Sign
