30 for 30: 30 Ways to Try Something New for 30 Days

It’s April, which many the majority of us have forgotten about our new years resolution. Sometimes we need to challenge ourselves to spice things up and anything can seem possible for 30 days.

Plus it only takes 21 days to start a new habit!

  1. Do a random act of kindness every day for a month.

  2. Give up alcohol for a month

  3. Draw or paint something everyday.

  4. Try a new fitness class (hot yoga, boxing, bodypump, the list goes on).

  5. Make an effort to try a new recipe at 2x once a week.

  6. Keep a gratitude journal for 30 days

  7. Give up complaining.

  8. Meditate daily for a month.

  9. Do one thing a day that makes you feel inspired for a month.

  10. Spend 15 minutes a day learning a new language (I like the app, duolingo)

  11. Cut out caffeine for a month or replace coffee with tea.

  12. Deactivate your social media for one week (if one month seems too impossible) (you’ll be surprised how much time you actually spend on it)

  13. Start each morning in front of the mirror with 3 positive affirmations.

  14. Try a new hobby (knitting, pottery, tai chi etc. )

  15. Volunteer once or twice a week for a month.

  16. De-clutter your life for a month. Slowly toss, recycle, donate or resale items in your house/apartment that do not bring you happiness.

  17. Start your day with a 1 mile run or walk.

  18. Spark a conversation with 1 stranger a day.

  19. Keep a food journal.

  20. Stretch for 10-15 minutes daily.

  21. Walk 10,000 steps daily.

  22. Vow to only take the stairs.

  23. Keep phones, computers and television out of your bedroom.

  24. Give up snacking on processed food.

  25. Listen to one informative or inspiring Ted Talk a day.

  26. Spend 15 minutes a day enjoying nature

  27. Create a strict spending budget and stick to it.

  28. Pack your lunch for work/school.

  29. Try 30 days of vegetarian eating.

  30. Try 1 new thing a day for 30 days.
